A lot has happened since the day I posted on social media a photo of me and my desire to becoming the next mayor of Roatan. I’ve gotten some feedbacks; many have contacted me wishing me luck in this project. I’ve had productive conversations among friends who are really concerned about the situation of the islands and its future. Political parties have reached out proposing their platforms and more blessings throughout the day. I am so thankful to everyone.
This is not a project to look good on billboards or for personal gain. I AM 110% ALL IN FOR ROATAN! I am doing it because my heart is here
and in it, the desire to serving the island and its people for the rest of my
life. In 2013, I put in my mind the idea of serving the community that has
given me so much. Thanks to Roatan, I was able to clear my thoughts and figured
out what was the purpose of my life. So, I started by educating myself,
developing social consciousness and awareness, I got involved in the culture
of the bay islands. As Garifuna, my roots come from right here. This is where
my ancestors settled free from the colonialists.
I am one of you, we share the same feelings about this beautiful
place we call home. I ask you to believe in me as I believe in you to make these islands a better place for our generation to come. I have prepared my
self for the task destiny has put on my way. Together we can do it right. For ALL
OF US!
